The Western South area is going to have many exciting professional development opportunities available for the 2015-2016 school year. Here is what we will offer:
Monday May 23, 2016
Where: Persell Middle School- 375 Baker St. Jamestown, NY- Enter the door on the far right wing (closest to Baker St.), the FACS room is the 2nd door on the left
Agenda: Updates from NYSAFCSE state board, updates from NYSED, Professional Development updates, share curriculum ideas/resources using technology
Menu: Salsa chicken & potatoes
Bring: A side dish or dessert to pass, curriculum ideas/resources using technology to share with colleagues, $5-$10 for a NYSAFCE logo item raffle
Please RSVP by May 18th and feel free to pass this information along to anyone you think may want to attend.

Thursday March 10, 2016-
Where: Pioneer Middle School- 12132 Co Hwy 54, Delevan, NY 14042- Room E146- Enter the building at the door by the flag pole, turn right, room is the 2nd door on the right
Agenda: Updates from NYSAFCSE state board, updates from NYSED, Professional Development information, curriculum sharing/collaborating
Menu: Baked Potato Bar & salad
Bring: baked potato topping or dessert item (potatoes & salad will be provided), recipes used in your classroom and/or interdisciplinary lesson ideas for our curriculum sharing time

Wednesday October 28, 2015- Local area meeting at Fillmore Central Schools- 104 West Main Street, Fillmore NY 14735 (It is on route 19 A). Park in front driveway. Enter the main doors, go to the right. Go through double doorway (which will be open). FACS room is to your immediate left, it's not far from the lobby. There will be signs. The agenda includes: updates from NYSED, professional development information from the state level, information on upcoming conferences and workshops, lesson ideas from other FACS educators, and much more! Our hostess will be providing pulled pork, please bring a dish to pass for dinner (sides, desserts, drinks, etc.) Bring a lesson idea to share, money to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win some FACS logo items. Please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday October 23rd to confirm or decline your attendance.
