Dawn is involved with this project. Hot Topics *Perkins reauthorization *NYS Learning Standards Review is moving along *National Family and Consumer Sciences Learning Standards are updated. President Dodi Cechnicki FACS Certification Options *CTE Team Leader, Eric, for NYACTE stated that as an organization we need to propose a plan for correction. *FCCLA Membership is down. Suggestions are to coordinate a Task Force Summit Group to discuss changes. It was further suggested to implement a workshop at the State Meeting in October. Eleanor Sicluna moved that we ask the outside marketing agency to come to the FCCLA Summer 2008 Training Workshop to facilitate and assess FCCLA Summit. Also, I move that Shirley Ware be authorized to spend up to, but not exceed, $1,000 and Donna Donaldson seconded. Motion passed. Further discussion centered around sending members to a local conference.
